Momentum Wheels for Humanity is seeking an AT Focal Point Consultant to support a USAID-funded project, Learning, Acting and Building for Rehabilitation in Health. System (ReLAB-HS). This individual will provide technical and advisory support to the ReLAB-HS Pakistan country office to conduct Momentum’s assistive technology activities. The main functions of the AT focal point include technical staff of country teams, relevant consultants, key stakeholders, Swat and Jamshoro care networks (approximately 25% travel). Only candidates with a work permit in Pakistan will be considered. No relocation allowance will be paid.

Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Learning, Action and Building for Rehabilitation in Health Systems (ReLAB-HS) is a global project to help develop health systems to meet the growing needs of rehabilitation. is. within the group. ReLAB-HS will focus on integrating rehabilitation and assistive technology services across all levels of care within the health system. The five-year program will work globally, initially focusing on a number of low- and middle-income countries affected by conflict and with varying levels of rehabilitation needs and infrastructure. Expected Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to Momentum’s Global Advisor on Assistive Technology and working closely with the ReLAB-HS Country Coordinator and Rehabilitation Advisor, the AT Focal Point has the following technical advice and project management responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, implementation, supervision, expansion/development and management of Momentum’s AT activities in Swat’s network of care. Key AT activities include:

- Identification and engagement of AT stakeholders in Swat’s network of care – Develop rehabilitation and AT service models and establish referral mechanisms for AT and rehabilitation in Swat’s network of care – Develop AT workforce capacity building plans and Conduct service training – Conduct AT roadshow Awareness and product familiarization – Conduct national procurement training using WHO/UNICEF Procurement Manual

- Ensure technical integrity of all rehabilitation and AT project activities carried out by the Momentum in Swat Care Network.
- Guide engagement with national stakeholders, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ministry of Health and other stakeholders related to assigned project activities
- Assist in the development of project work plans and contribute to the annual work planning process.Flag necessary work plan changes and participate in revisions
- Coordinate with AT focal points in other ReLAB-HS learning countries to extract lessons learned to inform Momentum programming in Pakistan and Swat and Jamshoro care networks
- Compile monthly, quarterly and/or occasional donor and internal reports to ensure reporting is accurate and timely.
- Represent MWH at relevant conferences and other strategic bilateral or multilateral coordination meetings as appropriate
- Attend meetings with government and other local stakeholders or represent MWH as appropriate
- Attend weekly ReLAB-HS country team meetings and other national meetings as recommended by the country coordinator and/or country rehabilitation and AT technical coordinator
- Contribute to creating a positive image and overall trust for MWH
minimum qualifications
- A master’s degree in a rehabilitation field such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or a master’s degree in health policy, global health, or health systems, and/or a master’s degree in a related field of study
- 5+ years of experience in physical therapy or occupational therapy services in an international development environment
- Experience working with national government agencies, international NGOs, and multilateral organizations
- Experience, general awareness and understanding of assistive devices and assistive devices
- Proven experience working with large institutional grants and complex programs
- Familiarize yourself with the national healthcare system for rehabilitation services
- Proven ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships
- Proven experience in taking the initiative in finding solutions to complex challenges
- Good skills in evaluation, reporting and coordination
- Ability to work well independently and in a team
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and prioritization skills
- Fluency in reading, writing and speaking in Pashto is an asset
- Good written and spoken proficiency in English
