Nominations Open for 2022 Seattle Southside Business Awards

This week, the Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce announced the opening of nominations for the 2022 Business Awards.

Each year, the Chamber of Commerce invites the public to nominate member companies, organizations and individuals who are active across industries.

“We invite you to join us in celebrating the outstanding individuals and businesses of the Seattle Southside,” said the organizers. Please help us raise money for our Success Foundation.”

The nomination deadline is Sunday, September 12, 2022 23:59.

This year’s categories are:

1. civil servant of the year – Recognize elected officials or city employees who frequently exceed expectations and act to the highest standards and means, setting an example for others in similar roles.
2. Business Leader of the Year – Recognize companies or individuals who have achieved excellence through innovative business practices, products and/or services, and community engagement.
3. Educator of the Year – Recognizes educators who demonstrate exemplary teaching methods and innovative styles and have a significant impact on students, parents and peers.
4. Nonprofit of the Year – Recognizes nonprofits that demonstrate best practices in nonprofit management and provide outstanding programs, services, or events that make a big difference in their communities.
5. best place to work – Recognize organizations that help employees advance their careers, knowledge and performance in environments that make work fun and engaging.
6. New Business of the Year – Recognize businesses that have demonstrated tremendous growth in business, market performance, or community involvement. Must have commenced operations in the Seattle Southside area on or after January 1, 2021.
7. Ambassador of the Year – Recognize ambassadors who have done the above to welcome Chamber members and help make a difference in the membership experience.

Any company, individual or non-profit organization that is a member in good standing of the Chamber of Commerce is eligible for nomination. There is no limit to the number of nominations an individual can submit, and we also accept self-nominations.
