Benjamin Sesco is reportedly “inclined to accept an offer to leave Red Bull Salzburg” amid strong interest from Manchester United. We hope to have the new forward at Old Trafford by the 1st.
Manchester United want a new forward to replace Edinson Cavani, but Mason Greenwood’s long-term future at the club remains shrouded in uncertainty.
The relationship with Sesco has also strengthened in recent days, especially after the teenage Sesco scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over Liverpool in pre-season.
United chief John Murtaugh recently met with representatives from Sesco to work out a deal for the teenager.
There are conflicting reports about his future, with some saying the Slovenian would prefer to stay another year in Salzburg to continue his development.
But now Sportklub claims that Sesco is “inclined” to accept an offer to leave its current side behind.

But United aren’t the only teams interested in Sesco, who scored five goals and provided one assist in 24 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga last season.
Chelsea are also in the mix to land a star for Salzburg, especially after Romelu Lukaku left for Inter Milan.
Real Madrid are eyeing Sesco as Karim Benzema’s replacement.
RB Leipzig are likely to sign the teenager as their good ties with Salzburg make them more likely to sign the player.
Several other clubs are also looking to buy Sesco.
Manchester United match: When Eric ten Hag’s squad play against all Premier League teams
Another forward United are eyeing is Anthony, who has previously shined under Ten Hag at Ajax.
But the Eredivisie giants have already seen the departures of the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Ryan Gravenberg and Nusea Mazrawi, so they won’t part with their prized assets for less than £80m.
Meanwhile, ahead of Sunday’s Premier League opener against Brighton, Gary Neville has expressed his belief that his old side will finish sixth this season.
“I don’t think the current team United will finish fourth,” he said, predicting a sixth-place finish.
And he added: “But if they [Frenkie] De Jong and the striker are different stories.”

With the match against Brighton, Neville also believes United are expected to have a tough afternoon in the office.
They lost 4–0 to Graham Potter’s side in April when Ralph Rangnick managed.
“You never know what’s going to happen on Sunday,” Neville said.
“We liked what we saw in pre-season, but Brighton at Old Trafford will be tough.”
United defeated Leeds on the opening day of last season in an impressive 5-1 victory with Bruno Fernandes scoring a hat-trick.
