Alan Shearer has sensationally claimed to have leaked news that Manchester United were in contract negotiations with Marko Arnautovic to gauge supporter reaction.
Last week, it was revealed that the club was in talks with Bologna about the transfer of Arnautovic, and fans reacted furiously to the report on social media.
In the match of the day after United lost 4-0 away to Brentford, Shearer claimed he leaked the fact that the club were in talks with the Austrian.

Shearer said the move showed the club was in complete chaos and didn’t know what they were doing.
