Nottingham Forest have signed free agent Jesse Lingard to a one-year deal.
The former Manchester United forward does not include an option for a further year on his one-year deal, but the newly promoted Premier League after West Ham made a substantial offer to sign him. He refused to join the league team.
The 29-year-old’s agent has been in talks with at least four different clubs in recent days after Lingard left Old Trafford last month following the expiry of his United contract.
West Ham wanted to sign Lingard, who has scored nine goals and five assists for the Hammers during his 2021 loan spell.

The team, led by David Moyes, have no interest in entering bidding wars with other clubs and are now focused on other targets.
