Berks LaunchBox introduces “3D printing for beginners”. By appointment from 6pm to 8pm. Learn about the software and equipment used to 3D print your products, review the terms and tips used in 3D printing, and walk through the process of designing, slicing, and printing with the software to bring your ideas to life. Berks LaunchBox presents “First Steps to Website Building for Beginners” via Zoom from 6:30-7:30 PM. Join this beginner’s class and learn: Communicate three important things at the top of your home page. Choose a primary goal for your website and motivate people to reach that goal. how to create concise and valuable copy and help potential customers find your site; tips for taking pictures of yourself/where to get free photos and graphics; Domain name research and registration. Berks Alliance Community Development will be spotlighting Berks Nature and The Nature Place from 12pm to 1pm via Zoom. Berks Nature is Berks County’s primary environmental protection and conservation agency. They are custodians of over 10,000 acres protected through conservation easements, owners of another 1,000 acres, and custodians of 27 miles of trails in the area. Berks Nature also offers a variety of educational opportunities. Perhaps the most significant recent development in Burks Nature is the expansion of The Nature Place on his 100 acres in Angelica Park. The Manufacturer Resource Center will be hosting a free webinar on “Reducing Your Energy Costs” via Zoom from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Business owners/decision makers are not only informed about current and future energy market conditions, but also updated on some of the issues we have considered in the past. Business owners of any size will find the information informative, but the presentation may offer more actionable items for larger companies. The Small Business Resource Association is hosting a networking MINGLE at B2 Bistro, 710 Reading Ave., Reading from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. SBRA MINGLES offers a unique opportunity to network with other small business owners. The event is free for members and $25 admission for non-members.

Monday, September 12th

The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual “Chamber Golf Outing and Clambake” from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm at the Hickory Valley Golf Club, 1921 Ludwig Road, Gilbertsville. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with a networking lunch, followed by shotguns at noon, followed by Moyer’s Catering’s Clambake His Dinner. Single or foursome ticket purchase includes complimentary use of 18 holes of golf, golf cart, driving range, networking lunch, clambake dinner, snacks and goodie bag.
