Business Spotlight: Luxe Injection Boutique

Union Grove is a little fuller now. There’s a new botox provider in town. Luxe Injection Boutique opened inside Wellness At Wildwood at 4514 Jack Pine Lane in Union Grove, Wisconsin. Local nurses aim to provide an outlet for community members to feel comfortable in their own skin. Through the practice of aesthetic nursing, the boutique strives to create an open conversation about beauty standards and reducing harmful prejudices.

Owner Abby Zimmerman is one of several other women-owned businesses, including Massage by K, DEW Esthetics, and LT Design+, all housed within a wellness center. Zimmermann’s Beauty Boutique is open Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. Other businesses have different services and opening hours.

“We all offer different services that complement each other,” said the Luxe Injection Boutique owner. With a background primarily in the medical field, Zimmerman believes that not only are the services of other businesses benefiting the community, but that being a member of the community and owning a new business benefits himself as well. Provider grew up in Yorkville, Wisconsin, where he still lives today. She attended Union Her Grove High School before earning her degree at her Alverno College at 3400 S 43rd St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated in 2013 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After she graduated, she enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (E. Kenwood Blvd. 2100). She completed her PhD in Nursing in 2018 with her UW-M. Over her years, she has gained experience as a provider in her more traditional settings before establishing roots in her own business.

Although she was not trained in nursing school in these cosmetic nursing practices, she “decided herself to attend more classes and conferences to learn as much as she could about it.” she says.

Zimmermann now works in multiple settings, including his own business, while continuing to be a provider of lifelong learning.

Services provided

A Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (DNP, FNP-BC), Zimmerman offers a range of services in addition to Botox, including skin pen microneedles, chemical peels and fillers. Similarly, healthcare providers sell medical-grade skin care products in boutiques.

The SkinPen Microneedle Tool is FDA approved for acne scarring. Additionally, she sells her Skin Better skincare line. They are FDA approved and are sold only under licensed physicians such as Zimmerman.

Fillers can also be injected into the lips, cheeks, jawline, etc. to enhance a person’s beauty. Botox reduces fine lines and wrinkles and softens wrinkles on the body.

“What I love about this is that everyone is so excited and happy to be there,” says Zimmerman. From another perspective, this is like making people feel good and confident in their own skin.”

She describes her services as helping with a variety of conditions, including aging, melasma, acne, sun damage, and, just as importantly, boosting her self-confidence. It should be noted that business services are not covered by insurance. Zimmermann offers an appointment to connect for her consultation.
