A first-half goal from Marco Reus was enough as Borussia Dortmund started their Bundesliga campaign with a narrow victory over Bayer Leverkusen.
Ten minutes later, Reus ran to the goal line to score after Karim Adiemi’s shot was blocked by Lukas Hradetzky’s leg.
In extra time, Hradetzky was sent off for handling outside the area after a lengthy VAR review.
