Lev Taylor waved to the play when Kai Havertz was brought down by Rodrigo Bentancourt.

Chelsea fans and boss Thomas Tuchel were upset that the German had not been awarded a foul.

Tottenham’s second equalizer came after Cristian Romero grabbed Marc Cucurella by the hair and dragged him to the floor.

One outraged Blues supporter immediately drafted a petition after the full-time whistle blew to try and stop Taylor from being handed a Chelsea match in the future.

Some believe this isn’t the first time the Manchester-born Taylor has made a mistake in a match.

The petition referred to a decision Taylor made in a previous Chelsea match that fans believed was against them.

And it turned out to be an instant hit. Within 12 hours of being set up he had nearly 75,000 signatures.

“Anthony Taylor has been making big decisions over the years in big matches with Chelsea,” the statement read.

“Taylor has an agenda against Chelsea and should not be allowed to referee another match involving the club.”

Blues boss Tuchel also lashed out at Taylor after the game.

Taylor gave Tuchel and Spurs’ Gaffer Antonio Conte yellow cards after clashing during the match before sending them both off when he was hit again at full-time.

Tuchel will receive a one-match ban as a dismissal, but it is reported that he could face further sanctions from the FA for his comments about the referee.

When asked about fan anger towards Taylor, Tuchel said: “I don’t think some fans feel that way. I can assure you that everyone in our dressing room feels that way.

“It’s not just the fans. The players know it. They know what’s going on on the pitch. They know it.”

And after being asked if Chelsea players were worried about Taylor refereeing the match, Tuchel replied, “Of course.”

When told he would be given a touchline suspension, Tuchel replied:

Tuchel said none of Tottenham’s goals in the thrilling match should have come into play and told the referee he was “out of words”.

“I don’t understand why the first goal isn’t offside, and I don’t understand when a player can pull someone else’s hair to stay on the pitch and attack in the final corner.

“This doesn’t explain anything to me and I don’t want to accept it.

“I have no words for that. I’m curious as to what the reason is, but both goals shouldn’t have happened. It’s a fair result. We were great and deserved to win.”
