Campus welcomes new faculty in business, medical professions and sciences: Indiana University Kokomo

Kokomo, Indiana — Indiana University Kokomo has announced nine new faculty additions, including a new Occupational Therapy Assistant program beginning in 2023. It has also been adopted in business, radiography, nursing, computer science and biology.

Christina Downey, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Student Success, said she welcomed the new faculty members and will contribute to her office’s theme of building and rebuilding campus communities.

“As we continue to navigate through difficult times, this theme is my commitment to embracing every opportunity to build faculty, staff, and students to make IU Kokomo’s educational experience the most supportive and enriching in the state. “Our new faculty members are part of that vision and effort. That expertise translates into life-changing learning for our students, both in and out of the classroom. We couldn’t be more excited to have them join our team.”

The new faculty members are:

business school

Loknus Ambati, Visiting Assistant Professor of Business. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Systems with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence, a Master of Science (MS) in Information Systems, and a Master of Science in Data Analytics from Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from his VIT University in Chennai, India. He was a graduate research assistant at Dakota State University, an analytics developer at Baylor Scott and White Health, and his scientist consultant at Pelican IT Group Data.

Muhammad Dink, Visiting Lecturer in Business. Dinc completed his Ph.D. She holds a Master of Science (MA) in Business Administration from the International Birch University, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in History from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey. Prior to that, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Madden He School of Business at Le He Moin He College, New York, and was an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the Middle Eastern American University in Kuwait.

James Geiger, Visiting Lecturer in Business. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from IU Kokomo. He has been a part-time faculty member and tutor at a business school, business manager and financial director at First EPC Kokomo.

Schools of Nursing and Allied Health Professions

Christine Davis, Clinical Assistant Professor, and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. She holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from her IU and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from IUPUI. She was a registered occupational therapist with her Signature HealthCare at Muncie.

Christina Douglas, Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Director and Clinical Assistant Professor. He holds a PhD in occupational therapy from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Indianapolis, and a BA in Spanish from the University of Evansville. She has served as an Adjunct Lecturer at her IUPUI and as her Assistant to Graduate Teaching at IUPUI and Creighton University. She is also a Registered Occupational Therapist at IU Health Ball Her Memorial Hospital, Muncie, and Thrive Alliance, Inc.- First Steps South East.

Andrea Freeman, Nursing Lecturer. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from IU Kokomo and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Indiana State University. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies Wellness Her Management degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and Ivy She has a Practical Nurse degree from Tech Her Community College. Freeman was previously an Adjunct Lecturer at IU Kokomo and Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo where she was a Registered Nurse for 17 years.

Anna Miller, Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Coordinator, Radiography. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Radiology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, a diploma in Radiology from the OSF St. Francis Medical Center School of Radiography, and an Associate in Biological Science from the Lincolnland Community College. I’m here. Prior to IU Kokomo, in Illinois, she was an education coordinator and radiologist at Springfield Memorial Health System.

Faculty of Science

Archif Mairaj, Assistant Professor of Computer Science. He got his Ph.D. Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Toledo, Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, India, Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Islamic University of Science I have a bachelor’s degree. and Technology, J&K, India. He was a lecturer at Purdue University Northwest and a lecturer at the University of Toledo.

Brandon Wyson, biology lecturer. He holds a Master’s degree in Biology from his IUPUI and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with highest grades from IU Kokomo. He was an Adjunct Lecturer in Physiology, Associate Lecturer in Biology, and Laboratory Technician for his IUPUI.

Education is key at Indiana University Kokomo.
