BT Sport announces podcast line-up | News

BT Sport has revealed a line of podcasts, BT Sport Pods.

Available on all major platforms, podcasts are presented by Joe Cole, Jake Humphrey, James Richardson, Craig Doyle, Darrell Curry, Mike Calvin and more. The free show will also feature guest stars such as Jordan Henderson, Patrick Kluivert, Emma Hayes, Owen Farrell and Rob Baxter.

BT Sport Pods Launch Lineup

Michael Calvin’s Football People (new episodes every Thursday starting today, August 4th)

The first of the new BT Sport Pods is Michael Calvin’s Football People, released today. Chelsea FC Women’s Manager Emma Hayes launches the first podcast with award-winning journalist, broadcaster and author Michael Calvin. In each episode, Calvin and Britain’s leading sports reporter discuss the game’s biggest issues and explore the game’s key players. Each episode also includes interviews with various special guests from different backgrounds, including players, managers, club owners, referees and sports psychologists.

The Joe Cole Cast (new episodes every Saturday starting August 27)

BT Sport analyst and former England and Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole looks back on moments and personalities from Joe’s football days with former teammates and the main characters of the game Part 12 A series of configurations. Upcoming guests include Frank Lampard, Jordan Henderson, Declan Rice, Harry Redknapp, Mark Noble, Paul Scholes and Peter Crouch.

The Premier League Storybook with Jake Humphrey (new episodes every Saturday starting September 3)

A 15-part documentary series that looks back over 30 years of Premier League football. It charts the drama, rivalries, skills, players and changes in both the game and wider society as the world’s most successful domestic soccer league grows. Hosted by Jake Humphrey, episodes include “King His Eric” celebrating Eric’s Cantona dominance in the early days of the Premier League and “Spice Boys” looking back at Liverpool in the 1990s. tabloid star.

Currie Club: The Scottish Football Sessions (new episodes every Friday starting September 2nd)

BT Sport’s Scottish football expert Darrell Curry will be a special guest as he tells the greatest stories in Scottish football history in a 12-episode series. The show is also available on the BT Sport TV channel. Episodes include guests including Archie Knox, Stuart McCall and Mark Hately, who look at his famous treble-winning season for Glasgow Rangers in 1992/93, with manager Angelos Postecoglou. Includes a look under Celtic’s skin with Chris Sutton, and a special. The rise of Andy Robertson has made him one of the best left-backs in the world.

Rugby Stories (Broadcast every Monday starting November 14)

Craig Doyle presents a 13-part series that focuses on the Gallagher Premiership rugby club, with each episode being different. Rugby Stories spotlights and brings to life the story of every club in Gallagher’s premiership, including how clubs such as Saracens and Leicester won prestigious domestic and European titles. The series includes contributions from Lawrence Dalaglio, Hugo Monnier, Owen Farrell, and others.

James Richardson’s Kings of Europe (Debut February 2023)

James Richardson celebrates the 30th anniversary of the UEFA Champions League and speaks to the players who have won the UEFA Champions League since the tournament began in 1993. The 15-episode series will feature 1995 winning teams Ajax and Patrick Kluivert, 2006 champions Barcelona and Henrik Larsson, and his 2012 winner Chelsea with Roberto Di Matteo.

Buzz16, who also produced Gary Neville’s hit podcast The Overlap, will produce The Joe Cole Cast, The Premier League Storybook, Currie Club, Rugby Stories, and James Richardson’s Kings of Europe. Buzz16 also produced BT Sport’s “Playing with Pride” and Premier 15 rugby coverage for the channel.
